Handknit Layered Swiss Broom

Handcrafted in Switzerland from natural purple moor-grass, this broom reflects the traditional craft of the Ybrig region, where farming women wove multipurpose brooms using a distinctive binding technique. Historically, these brooms were made in the fall and used for everything from cleaning wooden stove surfaces to sweeping barns.

Collected during our travels to Switzerland, this piece carries both cultural memory and functional beauty. We have layered it with a hand-knitted cover, giving it a Margn signature while preserving its original form.
